The Joy of FALL!

Week 21!

Week 20 turned out pretty rough for me. The day after I wrote I was feeling very tired, I tested positive for strep, and it took the entire week to get me well again. It was terrible.

Now that the antibiotic is finally helping, I feel more like a human again! I went on a walk last night, stared at my flower beds and have just felt better.

This pregnancy has been different in a few ways than last time. Currently I am SO HUNGRY. I eat meals, and two hours later it's like I've eaten nothing. I'm trying out recipes with more carbs hoping I can go 2 hours without being famished. I haven't gained any weight in a few weeks, but I feel that coming to an end quickly. Growing a boy is hard work!

He also really really loves to sleep on my bladder right now. Isn't that friendly?

The Big Zoo Trip!

I had a few days off at the end of last week planned, so I tore myself out of bed and we went with Adam's family to the ZOO! Her first time! I ended up having to rest after a while because I was dizzy, but I still enjoyed it so much! I want to take her back when there aren't a million kids, and we can see parts of it at a time. She really enjoyed the Children's Zoo area ,they have a fun petting zoo area. Adam's Aunt and Uncle were in town all weekend and we enjoyed the most wonderful time spending time with them! Katelynn loved to play and tell them stories. We are so blessed by amazingfamily.

Someone turned on the crazy on baby girl. She is HYPER. When she gets tired she starts speed crawling around the house laughing non stop. She pulls up on everything now, tries to cruise down things, and cries when she can't keep up.

She is still jabbering nonstop and learning more things about her world. She can tell you where your nose and mouth are... and will never do it when I really want to show her off. The dogs are the joy of her life, and she loves being dirty. She is completely off the bottle, and doesn't take any formula any more. Next milestone is that paci... I'm praying that it goes smoothly! She only gets it in her crib.

She also is developing more of an opinion, we are already having to tell her to settle down and wait and be patient. My dad loves to tell me she's my mini-me and my complete payback..... he's probably right. I can't believe her birthday is in two weeks and I am looking forward to her PARTY!

Halfway Dance!

Welcome to the "Half way" point!

We've had a few cool things this week. We had our full medical ultrasound at the hospital. They measured Luke all over, ensured he was for sure a boy (confirmed!) and spent time making sure everything looked correct. All good reports!

Half way docs apt was this morning, I'm right where I need to be. They gave us huge ultrasound photos... here's one

I haven't been feeling very well recently. A stomach bug went around our house. And I've just generally felt not well. They are going to be taking my iron levels later this week, I am hoping something shows what is going on with my energy and migraines.

Almost Party Time!
Katelynn had her birthday pictures taken last week... we are excited for her party! We spent a lot of time at home this week. She is starting to stand more. Her cheeks are still there and she still loves to eat!!! We've been very fortunate that she has transitioned off her bottles well. She is taking formula only a few times a day from a cup. Next we will tackle taking away the paci... I'm nervous about that one :(

Shoes and Bows

Week 19:

I keep finding myself forgetting what week I'm on. I feel bad trying to keep up, but I figure Luke doesn't know I don't remember ha. I broke down and purchased some maternity clothes this week. I feel SO much better.

I have another medical ultrasound this week, and then I will have a doctors apt next week. I cannot believe I am almost halfway!!!! I also have some dear friends who are pregnant at the same time as I. I love getting to talk to my friends and hear what they are going through... I also am so excited to see their pregnancies progress and share our milestones together. We are blessed with such AMAZING friends.

Katelynn got her first pair of shoes this week.... and they are adorable.I never knew how cute tiny shoes are! She finally stood up once last week, but she does not care about it as much as I do. She loves going to daddy's softball games and yelling at the players. She loves pointing at the dogs and saying "dog dog dog" so we know where they are. She also loves tickle fights... which consists of her crawling all over me while I tickle her and she giggles uncontrollably. It's our favorite past time.
